Good News Feed: June 2016A Proud and Touched Sister

My brother, Jeffrey, has decided to swim the English Channel in September. This swim is going to take him about 12-14 hours of constant swimming, he will have to battle the cold cold water, tides, waves and even jellyfish, ahhhh!  This is not going to be an easy feat at all, I am so very proud of him for taking on this challenge and I know he is going to do awesome!!!!

This in itself is amazing, but he has chosen to do this swim as a fundraiser for me and my disease. I was diagnosed with CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome), the world’s most painful disease according to the McGill Pain Scale. I am so beyond touched that he would do this for me. A Grateful Commuter

Everyone has those days where things just don’t seem to go right. I was having one of those days. The final straw was when I fell over at the train station, dropping all my stuff in the process. A kind fellow commuter stopped and helped me, despite having places to be and things to do. This person made me smile and my miserable mood was transformed. I’ll be looking out for him to say thank you again in person.
