Crossing the road would have been a huge challenge without help

Royal Trinity Hospice’s duck and her five ducklings recently left their home in the hospice garden pond. Somehow instinctively knowing where to go, they wandered through the hospice, into reception and out into the busy front carpark in search of a bigger pond and a new home.

Why did the duck cross the road?

Luckily the hospice staff and corporate volunteers from Experian stopped what they were doing to help them to cross the roads safely and make it to Clapham Common pond.

Crossing the busy roads wasn’t the only problem they faced in their bid to find a new home. The ducklings also faced the challenge of getting through the long grass of the Common without losing their mum…
