Blue Monday Good News Shared Competition

It might not always feel like it, but good things are happening all the time. On a day dubbed ‘Blue Monday’ we will be running our first ever competition. Our aim is to make you happy – by sharing some uplifting stories with you, and by giving you the chance to win a donation for a charity / non-profit of your choice.

Simple and free to enter, all you need to do is visit www.goodnewsshared.com/competition on MONDAY 19th January 2015 (the page will go live at midnight (GMT) on Sunday 18th January), fill in a short form and share a tweet. It should take no more than a couple of minutes.

What is Blue Monday?

Blue Monday, usually the third Monday in January, is a day that is said to be the most depressing of the year. This year Blue Monday will be on the 19th January.

Blue Monday was started in 2005 as a promotional campaign by a travel company using a formula produced by psychologist Chris Arnall. Weather, debt levels, and time since Christmas are among the factors used in creating the formula. However, it seems the formula isn’t quite up to scratch. Despite this, Blue Monday is a term / concept that gets a lot of media attention every year.

We hope our competition will help people focus on the positives, rather than believing the concept of ‘Blue Monday’ and feeling down.

At Good News Shared we give people uplifting, charitable news to read via our website. We are really excited to be able to gift a charity / non-profit with a small unexpected donation through our first ever competition.

So, please do come over to our competition page on Monday 19th January 2015 and take part in our first ever competition (yep, we are super excited!) and have a very happy ‘Blue Monday’.

**PLEASE NOTE: This competition is now CLOSED – winners will be announced soon**
