‘How can I have peace when my children are unable to go to school because we cannot pay the fees?’ – This is the question a woman in Gweru, Zimbabwe asked when she attended a peace circle. Another woman in the group had the same problem and by the end of the circle the group had decided to help both women start a business.

The peace circles are run through The Creators of Peace (CoP) initiative, a global network which was launched in 1991 following a speech by Anna Abdallah Msekwa, a Tanzanian women’s leader and cabinet minister.
