Lillian Stubley, a member of the Dorset Blind Association, celebrated her 100th birthday on the 10th February 2016 at the older people’s social club in Charminster.

“I’m quite pleased about it and the social club makes it easier to connect with people”, an excited Lillian said.

Lillian has not let being partially sighted get her down, and credits the charity Dorset Blind Association for keeping her active and social. “Normally it would take a lot of pushing to get me to go out and do something but Dorset Blind Association makes it easy for me”.

Talking about her birthday celebrations Lillian said, “I’m lucky, I am quite surprised, i was not expecting any of this. I am absolutely flattered and supposedly overwhelmed”. 

We are so happy Lillian had a very happy 100th birthday!
