The first race of 2017, the Alastor “Mad-Eye” Moody Constant Vigilance 5k, has sold out of its limited run of 5,000 finishers medals.

All proceeds from this virtual race benefit the Limbs for Life Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides a financial bridge between low-income amputees and the quality prosthetic care they need to restore their lives.

The character that inspired the race theme, Alastor ”Mad-Eye” Moody from the Harry Potter books and movies, is one of the only characters in modern popular culture to have a prosthetic leg and serves as a role model for amputees around the globe.

The sold out event will raise enough funds for Limbs for Life to provide 50 amputees with prosthetics to help improve their quality of life.
