As part of World Book Day 2018 BookTrust, the UK’s largest reading charity, and Channel 5 Milkshake!, are collaborating to enable children and families to access entertaining stories on demand by filming Milkshake! presenters reading ten specially curated books.
The videos will be uploaded daily onto the Milkshake! YouTube channel, and on World Book Day the selected book will be broadcast at 6pm on Facebook Live as a bedtime story.
The books will also feature in a competition that Channel 5 intends to broadcast daily on the linear Milkshake! block from March 17th – 30th March, where viewers can win a set of all ten books to share with their family over the Easter holidays.

We know that children who read for pleasure often perform better educationally whilst also being happier and healthier. We hope families across the country enjoy these story time videos and feel inspired to snuggle down with their little ones and get lost in a story.”
