Bella and Millie love spending time together!

“Mostly Bella ignores our dog, but she is smitten with our kitten,” said Bella’s foster carer Vikki. “The two have become the best of friends and it’s so lovely to watch them together.”

Bella and Millie’s unusual friendship has led to the rehoming centre deciding that an essential requirement of Bella’s new home is that she lives with a compatible cat.

“Bella is a sweet, cheeky character with an active nature,” said Tracey Rae, Dogs Trust Shoreham’s Rehoming Centre Manager. “She came into the centre due to a change in her previous owner’s circumstances. We’ve decided that the happiness she has displayed in her foster home with Millie the kitten means that she must be rehomed with another interactive, playful cat that will enjoy the company of a dog.

“She could potentially live with another dog too but we’re fairly certain they won’t be the centre of her attention!”
