As the eyes of the world were on the royal wedding on Saturday, staff at Dogs Trust Manchester were busy making preparations for their own big day.

As millions of people tuned-in to watch Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie the knot in the most eagerly anticipated wedding of the year, the team at the charity’s Manchester rehoming centre were celebrating for a different reason.

Adorable Crossbreed puppies Harry and Meghan are two of a litter of ten born at Dogs Trust Manchester, all given Royal names to celebrate the fact that they begin a new chapter in their young lives on the same day the Prince and the Hollywood actress became husband and wife.

Born on National Puppy Day (23 March) Harry and Meghan, along with Duchess, Prince, William, Henry, George, Windsor, Charlie and Albert have all stolen the hearts of new families.

Like the Royal couple, Saturday was their big day too as it’s the day they headed off to their loving homes.
