FoodCycle was set up 9 years ago with the mission of making healthy meals for communities in need using surplus food.

FoodCycle is 99 years on, FoodCycle have served 250,000 meals across the UK, and more than 265 tonnes of surplus food has been saved from going to waste.

From Bath to Birmingham, London to Langworthy, FoodCycle volunteers are cooking up a storm.

“It is a big help and the food they bring out after the meal helps us to get through the week” – one of the FoodCycle guests

FoodCycle is powered by a large team of volunteers who give their time to make sure the community meals happen every week. The volunteers cover a range of different roles, from collecting surplus food and cooking healthy meals, to giving guests a warm welcome and promoting the projects within their own community.
