It is a website owner’s worst nightmare. You go to your website and – for some reason – it’s not working as it should. That’s what I woke up to on a day known as ‘Blue Monday’ – a day in January reported to be the most depressing day of the year.
Last year Blue Monday was a day of excitement for me as we held Good News Shared’s first ever competition. This year proved to be quite different..
At the time, the setback with the Good News Shared website felt like a disaster. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
Once I had sorted the issue – thanks to help from the incredible Howard Lake – I used the set back as motivation to do what I had wanted to do for some time now: redesign the website.
It took a few weeks but I am delighted to say that Good News Shared has a new look (massive thanks William Deng for everything you have done!)
One of the most exciting changes with the website is the fact that readers can now comment on articles. I’m really looking forward to finding out what our readers think of the articles we share and to seeing which articles get the most comments over time.
It is easier than ever to share your thoughts with us now that we have comments enabled so please let us know what you think of our new look and if you have any suggestions for future improvements we’d love to hear them.
