Community Channel is the UK’s only TV channel dedicated to highlighting stories from across the nation, from communities, charities, and those brilliant people who make society better for us all every day. In 2015 ten million people tuned in to Community Channel, which – similar to Good News Shared – exists solely to showcase social good and inspire the public to generate positive social impact.

Now the channel is calling on viewers and supporters to pledge their support (from £10 or more) and help them become the first people-owned national TV channel.

If you buy one share or more, as an investor, big or small, you will have the right to elect board directors who will oversee Community Channel.

The channel, which has been on air for 16 years, is having a positive impact on the charities it features and on their viewers, with many people volunteering and being more proactive, as a regular viewer explains, “I see the world differently now. I have made many new friends in the last year of volunteering, and seeing them makes the world a brighter place. I have encouraged others to do more by watching Community Channel and getting involved in local projects, and they have had a positive on their lives and others.”

The Community Channel campaign is running until the 17th July 2016. Click here to find out more.
